Chapter 1: Embracing Inspiration
I've been diving into strategies on how to beat procrastination and boost productivity.

Section 1.1: Finding Purpose in Distraction
These days, I'm engrossed in watching The 100 on Netflix while also taking a course on Elementor via YouTube. Alongside my coffee, I'm flipping through The Hunger Games, all while aiming to pen something clever for #fintwit by absorbing personal finance literature.
Currently, I'm not engaged in work that directly earns me money. Since March 2020, my obligations have significantly diminished. This shift has led me to seek inspiration, which I found on Medium. After consuming numerous articles, I realized something important:
I need to embark on a side project.
Section 1.2: The Side Hustle Journey
My latest ambition is to launch a blog that could eventually generate income. Sounds simple, right? Just type “How to start a blog” into Google.
However, it’s not just about writing; you need to identify a niche, select a hosting service, and choose a WordPress theme. It’s essential to understand your target audience and offer solutions to their problems. Most importantly, you must be authentic and discover your distinct voice.
Have I made any progress? A little. I'm attempting to learn Elementor on YouTube—though I must confess that The 100 and The Hunger Games often take precedence over my learning.
How can I curb procrastination and accomplish my goals? The answer eludes me for now, but I do have a strategy.
Chapter 2: Crafting a Loose Plan
Currently, I'm watching The Wheel of Time and just completed all ten seasons of Chicago Fire (though the final season isn't fully out yet).
Despite this, I'm gradually advancing my side hustle. I’m reading Medium articles focused on future planning, overcoming procrastination, enhancing effectiveness, and diving into deep work.
Medium is filled with inspiring writers, and I have faith that one day, an article will spark an epiphany that helps me draft a comprehensive plan for my blog. Influenced by my Netflix binges, I find myself waiting for that transformative moment: “Your fight is over.” This is the key to achieving my goals.
Do you struggle with finding the motivation to tackle meaningful tasks? You're not alone. But rest assured, one day, we will rise from our couches!
As long as there are no new episodes of my favorite shows.
“Your fight is over.” A memorable quote from *The 100.
This narrative is inspired by Mike Goldberg’s innovative approach. A brilliant concept! Thank you.
Chapter 3: Revamping Underperforming Content
If your article isn't yielding results, a few straightforward adjustments might make a world of difference.
I revisited my very first Medium piece, refreshed it, and implemented some simple modifications.
Section 3.1: The Art of Improvement
How to overcome procrastination and accomplish tasks
Spending time on Medium can be a rewarding experience if approached with intention.
Chapter 4: Insights from YouTube
The first video discusses why some souls choose to connect while others do not, which can provide insight into the deeper aspects of human experience.
The second video features a psychic reading where a woman is astonished by the knowledge her deceased mother had about her life, shedding light on the connections we maintain beyond the physical realm.
