Discover Top YouTube Channels for Learning About Medium

Chapter 1: Introduction to Learning on Medium
Approximately ten months ago, I became part of Medium's partner program. I initially joined Medium over a year prior, unaware that I could earn money from my writing, as I was focused on tasks from Microworkers. Reflecting on my journey, I wish I had discovered certain YouTube videos beforehand, as they could have provided me with a stronger foundation. Here are three YouTube channels that have significantly enriched my understanding of Medium, and I hope they can do the same for you.

Honorable Mention: Sinem Günel
It's important to highlight Sinem, as she offers a program aimed at assisting newcomers, and I've heard great feedback about her teaching methods. While I occasionally struggle to understand her due to her accent, I still find her articles immensely valuable. For those who may face similar challenges, her writing can be accessed here:

My Favorite: Hudson Rennie
What stands out about Hudson is his straightforward approach to sharing information. He avoids unnecessary embellishments or extravagant introductions. Instead, he focuses on sharing authentic insights that have proven successful for him. This is exactly what I seek in a video—genuine advice from someone relatable, rather than unrealistic sales pitches. Hudson remains active on his channel, with his latest Medium-focused video released just eight days ago. Like others on this list, he is also a writer on Medium, and you can explore his articles here:

My First Medium Teacher: Zulie @ Medium
I've referenced this video multiple times and even composed an article detailing my learnings from it. Although Zulie no longer produces many videos specifically about Medium, she was the first content creator I found genuinely helpful. Much like Hudson, she provides clear, concise information without excessive fluff. While some of her older videos may not be entirely relevant today, they remain packed with valuable insights. I also subscribe to her newsletters, which are rich in information beneficial for both novices and seasoned users. Zulie can be found on Medium through her two profiles:

Last But Not Least: Kristina God, MBA
Kristina not only offers tutorials for achieving success on Medium but also conducts interviews with other writers, helping them gain recognition. Recently, she initiated a promising series called “Medium School,” which aims to assist newcomers in learning before they dive in and could also benefit experienced writers like myself, who may have missed key insights along the way. In my quest to deepen my knowledge of Medium, I've encountered many other channels, but these three stand out as my favorites. Have you come across any other channels that you recommend? Please share in the comments so I can check them out too!
