In an effort to foster continuous learning, I initiated a project termed "Micro-Monday" for my team. Each Monday throughout April, I shared concise micro-lessons on Slack.
These lessons are akin to a dim-sum experience for education, where each month revolves around a specific theme. Every Monday, participants receive a "Micro" lesson lasting five minutes or less, which they can seamlessly integrate into their daily routines.
Target Audience:
This initiative is crafted for anyone eager to enhance their personal or professional growth but struggles to allocate lengthy periods for traditional training.
Purpose:
The Learning and Development (L&D) team aims to provide diverse educational opportunities. Recognizing that many find it hard to dedicate an hour or more for skills development, these micro-lessons serve as manageable learning bites to improve interpersonal skills effectively.

Insight:
To truly listen, one must be fully present, minimizing distractions to give undivided attention to the speaker.
Example:
In conversations, prioritize maintaining eye contact and nodding to convey engagement, instead of glancing at your phone.
Practice:
Reflect on your listening habits. Are distractions hindering your ability to listen actively? Commit to eliminating one distraction in your next conversation and observe how it alters the interaction.

Practice:
In your next discussion, attempt to paraphrase what the speaker has said to confirm your understanding. If emotions are high, focus on mirroring those feelings to enhance the connection.
