To create this delicious banana bread, gather the following ingredients:

  • 1 ½ cup (185g) all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • ½ tsp. baking soda
  • 1 tsp. ground cinnamon
  • ? cup (55g) dark chocolate chips (unsweetened)
  • A pinch of salt
  • 2 ripe bananas, mashed
  • ½ cup (120ml) unsweetened almond milk
  • 4 tbsp. apple puree
  • ½ tsp. vanilla extract
  • ½ cup (120ml) maple syrup
  • 4 tbsp. peanut butter

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a loaf pan with baking paper.
  2. In a large bowl, mix all the dry ingredients together.
  3. In a separate bowl, combine all the wet ingredients thoroughly.
  4. Gently fold the wet mixture into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan. Slice the remaining banana in half lengthwise and place it on top of the batter.
  6. Bake for 35–40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  7. Once done, remove the loaf from the oven and allow it to cool on a wire rack. Wait until the banana bread is completely cool before slicing and savoring.
